Wrapping Up the Holidays
Happy New Year! I hope you had a beautiful Christmas that was filled with family, friends, faith, and of course, fantastic food!
One of my absolute favorite things about the holidays is getting to wrap gifts! I don’t know what it is, maybe it’s the beautiful paper, or maybe it’s the calm that comes over me with all those perfectly smoothed edges, but I just love it. As much as I love it, I know not everyone feels the same way. Some loathe the task, while others dreamily look at all the gorgeously wrapped gifts on Pinterest.
So, with the holiday season upon us, I thought it would be fun to do a DIY class on gift wrapping. I asked my good friend Anne Marie, who at one time owned a gift wrapping business, to come and teach us some tips and tricks on creating beautiful presents! We hosted the event at Workshop Chicago and Alicia Kiewitt provided some amazing foliage for us to play with and decorate our gifts.
Between the beautiful paper, ribbon, baubles and ornaments, and lush greenery, we had ourselves a grand time! Thanks to everyone who joined us…I already can’t wait to wrap next year’s gifts!
