Long Live Love!

There is nothing quite like a good love story.  And as much as I love a good romantic comedy, or a mushy novel, I can’t help but crave a true story.  You know what I’m talking about.  I want to know how the old couple across the street met, and how they come to still hold hands when they take their evening walks.  We pass by these great heroes of love and never bother to ask: how did it even happen?

It is a wild and crazy thing, love.  It is beautiful and dramatic, and not lacking in humor.  The greatness of a love story lies not in just how a couple came to be together, but how they made love last.  Those are the stories I long to hear.  Those are the stories I want to share.

That’s why I want to share with you a new blog series I’m calling Long Live Love, featuring the true life stories of those committed to love and this beautiful gift called marriage.  These stories don’t end at the altar.  They live on long after the bride has lost her youthful blush and the groom has traded his sweaty palms for weathered hands that have held firm to love.  These are the stories of the great heroes of love.  Be on the lookout tomorrow for our first Long Live Love feature!

“Listen to me, mister. You’re my knight in shining armor. Don’t forget it. ”
